Music - Banter - Music - Banter -

The summer is over and it’s time to start podcasting again. This week we play Fleet foxes, Jay Reatard, and the Heartless Bastards.
We try to keep the banter down but we just can’t help ourselves.

Setlist

Setlist is a weekly music podcast from Seattle that plays local music from The Stranger’s bands page. I have been listening for almost a year now with the hope that once a show I’ll hear at least 1 new band to check out and follow up on (This does not always happen).  This last month however, they have had guest hosts from local venues making their own mix and the result is awesome. The last mix of music was so good I can’t help but post about it.  There might be a bad song but all and all these last few installments are up there with Late Night Sounds! See for yourself.

September 21, 2007 This week’s Setlist is the best Setlist Megan and Ari have ever recorded! Why would we make such a grand statement? Because it’s true. We have a very special guest in the “studio”: Kris K from Chop Suey! He picks all the songs, shares some booking wisdom, and gives us some tickets to an amazing show (Sea Wolf, Boat, and Fleet Foxes) that we are going to give to you. You can only find out how to win by listening, so why don’t you do it already? Songs Kris K picked to play this week:

  • Birdwatchers United - “Monsters!”
  • Sam Squared - “Puppies and Kittens”
  • Andy Werth - “Back to the Sun”
  • Don’t Tell Sophie - “Metal Detector”
  • The Snakebites - “Everybody Feels It When We Get Together”
  • Yogoman Burning Band - “Street Lights”
  • Fleet Foxes - “White Winter Hymnal”
  • Coconut Coolouts - “(Please Don’t Break Me Out of) Party Jail”
